Gear up and take the safe route

Looking for a fun way to be healthy and help the environment? For children and for their parents, walking or biking to school is a great way to be active and healthy while having fun!

The Safe Routes to School program aims to get kids walking and biking to school safely through providing in the classroom and on the bike education. Funding is available for these education programs as well as for infrastructure changes that may help to make your school safer for walking and bicycling.

On this web site, you can find resources for implementing your own Safe Routes to School program, learning about funding opportunities, and tracking your classroom's walking and biking statistics.
